Can I submit a domain name with a 60-day transfer lock?

We strongly advise not to submit domain names with a 60-day transfer lock applied, but you can do this if you wish.

If you submit and list a domain name which has a 60-day transfer lock applied, and that domain name is purchased a few days later by a buyer, you are risking losing this sale. Why? Often the buyer wants their newly purchase domain name transferred to their preferred registrar, which often is a different registrar to the one you have it hosted with.
